Professional learning in the workplace
CSBB has a range of workplace based professional Learning which includes Collaborative Coaching (Primary), Collaborative Planning Time (Secondary) and in-class support.
Expertise in Teaching Groups
Collaborative Coaching
Collaborative Coaching is conducted by the Assistant Principal in each school, who works with teacher teams to progress student learning through cycles of continuous improvement. Each Collaborative Coach works closely with a system appointed mentor coach to develop skill in successfully leading teaching teams. Professional learning is offered through targeted training, system networking days and smaller geographical networks.
Middle Leaders Program
The CSBB Middle Leaders Program is designed to empower Middle Leaders with the skills, knowledge, and dispositions needed to support teaching teams, developing teaching excellence and improve student outcomes. This two-year program provides a structured pathway for leadership development, incorporating core, optional, and elective modules delivered through a mix of face-to-face workshops, online learning, webinars, and collaborative platforms. Grounded in the AITSL Middle Leaders Standards, the program encourages self-reflection, professional growth, and practical application within school settings.
Leadership Formation Program
The Leadership Formation Program is an opportunity for all our school leaders including Principals, Assistant Principals and Religious Education Coordinators to participate in various modules that support them as the Catholic leaders of the school community. This program aims to equip our people to lead their catholic communities in a contemporary world.

Future Faith Leaders’ Program
The Future Faith Leaders’ program is for faith-filled aspiring leaders in our schools. The program develops and supports participants to further develop their leadership skills and styles with a focus on the roles of Religious Education Coordinator, Youth Ministry Coordinator and Assistant Principal Evangelisation & Catechesis.
The current program includes the following modules
- Practical workshops
- Spiritus retreat
- Mentoring
- Catholic Leader’s Formation Network program Called.
- Building Leadership Capabilities workshop
- Reflection workshop, liturgy and dinner
