Community Engagement and Support
At Catholic Schools Broken Bay (CSBB), Our Parent Charter outlines the principles and responsibilities for all members of the CSBB community, fostering respectful and collaborative relationships. This Charter highlights the importance of working together for the educational success and wellbeing of children, in a faith-filled environment where students are encouraged to grow in their understanding of Christ, learn safely, and feel welcomed.
Communication
Staying connected with your child’s school is important, and there are a number of ways you can do this. Most schools provide regular newsletters and updates, which share key dates, achievements, and important notices. Parent-teacher meetings are also a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and ask any questions you may have. Many schools also offer online portals where you can communicate with teachers, check in on learning, and access essential information. From time to time, you may also be invited to complete surveys or share feedback to help shape school programs and initiatives—your voice really does make a difference.
Sharing Feedback or Raising a Concern
We understand that there may be times when questions, misunderstandings, or concerns arise. At Catholic Schools Broken Bay, we’re committed to creating a respectful, supportive environment where families feel comfortable raising issues. In most cases, concerns are best addressed by speaking directly with your child’s school. Our school leaders and staff are there to help, and open, honest communication is the first step in finding a positive way forward.
If you feel further support is needed, our Complaints Resolution and Feedback Brochure outlines what to do next. We also have a detailed Complaints Management and Resolution Policy available on our website at csbb.catholic.edu.au, which explains the process and the support available to you.
